Alice Springs

Today we flew from Melbourne to Alice Springs, the third largest town in the Northern Territory of Australia. Popularly known as "the Alice" or simply "Alice", Alice Springs is situated in the geographic center of Australia. We are only here for the day and leave early tomorrow for Uluru (Ayers Rock). Much of the landscape is brown and dry with low bushes and shrubbery, and temperatures were in the high 90's.
